Award-Winning Environmental Initiatives
Myezo Growth & Development Institute (MGDI) was honored with the Women in Environment Award from the Department of Forestry and Fisheries (DFFE) on 25 October 2024 at the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens. Babalwa Fatyi, founder and director of MGDI, and Lyn Madziwanzira, environmental coordinator, accepted the award on behalf of the organisation. This award specifically acknowledged MGDI’s contribution to the 2023 National Arbor Week celebration, where we partnered with various organisations to plant trees at several schools in Gauteng. This achievement is a testament to our dedication to environmental initiatives and our efforts to create a greener future.
